No of members = x
Amount donated by each member = x                ->    (given in question )

Total amount collected = No of members × Amount by each member
x  × x = Rs 64
x² = 64

Therefore x = 8 

So 8 members were there in the association.

number of students × amount of rupees = total amount


X × X = 64

X^2 = 64

X^2 = 8^2

X = 8
