An astronaut on the moon measures the acceleration due to gravity to be 1.7m/s^2 l. He knows that the radius of the moon is about 0.27 times that of the earth. What is his estimate of the ratio of the mass of earth to that of the moon.

Sss333: Actually i was in hurry and forgot to take Re^2 in numerator and (0.27Re)^2 in denominator. Now Re^2 will get cancelled and answer will be (9.8×1) ÷(1.7×0.27×0.27) =79 so Me/Mm=79
