Given :-

  • Radius of Circular track = 21m

  • Time taken (t) = 20 seconds

To Find :-

  • Speed of an Athlete

Solution :-

We know that,

Circumference of Circle = 2πr

And,

According to Question :-

Distance travelled by Athlete = Circumference of Circle

So,

➟ Distance travelled = 2πr

Distance = 2 × 22/7 × 21 = 132m

Hence,

Distance travelled by Athlete = 132m

Now,

We know that,

Speed = Distance travelled / Time taken

So,

Speed of an Athlete = 132/20 = 66/10 = 6.6 m/s

Given

\bold{Radius \ of \ the \ circular \ track} = 21 \ m

\bold{Time \ taken \ by \ the \ athlete \ to \ complete \ one \ round} = 20 \ seconds

To Find

\bold{Speed \ of \ the \ athelete} = ?

SOMETHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

\bold {Speed = \dfrac{Distance}{Time} }

Distance = Circumference of the circle

\implies 2\pi r\\

\implies 2 * \dfrac{22}{7} * 21

\implies 2 * 22 * 3

\implies \underline{\underline{ 132 \ m}}

\implies \bold{Speed} = \dfrac{132}{20}

\implies  \dfrac{66}{10}

= 6.6 \ m/s

\boxed{\boxed{\bold{Therefore, \ the \ speed \ of \ the \ athlete \ is \ 6.6 \ m/s}}}
