The total distance covered by the athlete is 1.35 kilometres.

Given data :

The Length of the field is 150 metres.

The Breadth of the field is 75 metres.

Running rounds are for 3 times.

• Now, we have to calculate the total distance covered by the athlete by using the following mathematical formula :

= ( Perimeter of the field × Running round number)

• So, we have to calculate the perimeter of the field first by using the following mathematical formula

= 2× ( length + breadth)

= 2× (150+75)

= 2× 225

= 450 metres

The total distance covered by the athlete = (450×3) = 1350 metres = 1.35 km

[ term of unit conversion is 1000 metres = 1 kilometre]
