firstly, while attempting questions in physics or in any subject , try to find out the data that is given .

In this case , we have been given

u = 0 m/s ( starting from rest )

v = 18 kmph , converting it into m/s we multiply it by 5/18 we get 5m/s

t = 2 sec.

now it has asked for average acceleration i.e. equal to (v-u)/(t2-t1 )

putting in the values you get ( 5 - 0)/(2-0) = 5/2=2.5 m/s^2

I hope it helped .
