Distance = 1200\pi

Displacement = 0 m

Explanation:

2 minutes = 120 sec

Speed = Circumference / Time \sf [Circumference = 2\pi r

     \sf= 2 x \pi x 200 / 40

\sf = 10\pi m/s

i) Distance = Speed x Time

 \sf = 10\pi x 120

    \sf = 1200\pi

\rm   ≈ 3769.91 m

ii) Displacement

At then end of 120 sec the athlete will be back at his starting point, completing 3 rounds

So,

Displacement = 0 m

Hope this helps! :)

Answer:

Displacement = 200m

Distance = 2200m

What is the rest of the ques...?

(guessing u r in 8th/ 7th)

Explanation:

r = 100m (since d= 200m)

time taken for one round is 40 sec

So, 2 min 20 sec = 140 sec

No. of rounds completed in 140sec = 140/40 = 3.5 rounds

Distance covered in 140 sec = 2πr x 3.5 = 2 x 22/7 x100 x 3.5

                                                 = 2200m

Displacement = 200m, since it starts and ends in the same postition.
