Diameter= 200 m.
Start position point A. (See fig.).
Completes round in 40 sec.
Circumference = pi * 200 m covered in 40 sec.
In 2 min 20 sec. that is in 140 sec., he will complete 140/40 = 3 & half rounds.
He will be at point B.
Total distance covered will be
3 and half times Circumference
= 7/2 * 200 * 22/7 = 2200 m.

▶Distance covered in one round= ▶Circumference of the circle
▶Circumference of the circle=> 2πr
Diameter=> 200m
Radius=> 100m
▶Distance covered in one round=> (40 sec)= 2×22/7×100=> 628.57m
▶Distance covered in 1 sec=> 628.57✖40= 15.71m
▶2min 20 sec=> 140 sec
