An athlete completes 1 round of circular track of diameter 200 metres in 40 sec. What will be the distance and displacement at the end of 2min20 sec.??

distance covered= pi×diameter× time given/ T

where T= time period

=>. 3.14×200×140/40

= 3.14×700

= 2198 meter

number of revolution = t/T= 140/40

= 3.5 this indicates that athlete reached at the half of it's initial position in 2 minutes and 20 seconds

therefore

displacement = length of diameter= 200 meter
