✯✯ QUESTION ✯✯

An athlete completes one round of a circular track of diameter 200m in 40sec.what will the displacement at the end of 2minutes 20sec..

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

✰✰ ANSWER ✰✰

Diameter=200m

Radius=\dfrac{Dia.}{2}

Radius=\cancel\dfrac{200}{2}⟹100m.

Time=2min. \:20sec.

Since,the athlete covers the complete round in 40 seconds .In 2 minutes 20 seconds he will complete 3½ rounds.

Distance=\dfrac{7}{2}×2πr

Distance=\dfrac{7}{2}×2×\dfrac{22}{7}×100

Distance=22×100

\large{\boxed{\bold{\bold{\green{\sf{Distance=2200mtrs.}}}}}}

✰ Question ✰

⋄ An athlete completes one round of a circular track of diameter 200m in 40sec.what will the displacement at the end of 2minutes 20sec.

✰ Given:-

⋄ Diameter of circular track = 200m

∴ Radius (r) = 200/2 =100m.

and Time taken to complete one round =40s

✰ To Find :-

Displacement of athlete end of 140s????

✰ Solution :-

⋄ If he take 40s to complete one round.

∴ He complete 3.5 round in 140 sec.

⋄ The distance covered by athlete in 140s

=2πr×3.5

⋄ Distance = 2×3.14×100 ×3.5= 2200m.

➤ If he complete one round the the displacement is zero.

He completes 3.5 round .

∴The displacement of 3 round is Zero.

and for 0.5 round the displacement is 200m.

Hence the Distance covered by athlete is 2200m and Displacement is 200m.
