DISTANCE COVERED IN 1 round = 2 π r = 2*100*22/7
DISTANCE COVERED IN 1 Sec = 200*22 / 7*40
= 4400/ 280
distance covered in 2 min = (120 * 4400)/ 280
= 1885.71 m

Diameter of a circular track, d = 100 m

Radius of the track, r = 50

Circumference = 2πr = 2π (50) = 100π m

In 40 s, the given athlete covers a distance of 100π m.

In 1 s, the given athlete covers a distance =

The athlete runs for 2 minutes = 120 s

∴Total distance covered in

The athlete covers one round of the circular track in 40 s. Thismeans that after every 40 s, the athlete comes back to his originalposition. Hence, in 120 s he had completed 3 rounds of the circulartrack.

He takes 3 rounds in 40 × 3 = 120 s. Thus, after 120 s hisdisplacement is zero

∴ Displacement of the athlete = 100 m

Distance covered by the athlete in 2min is 300 m and hisdisplacement is
100 m.
