2 minutes and 20 seconds = 140 s.

Distance in 40s = 200.

In 1s = 5m

Total distance travelled= (5 × 140)m

700m.

In 140 seconds the athlete completes
2 1/2 rounds.

In two rounds, displacement will be 0.

In half round, displacement = diameter = 200m

Diameter = 200 m
Radius = 200/2 = 100 m
Circumference of the circle [is equal to] the distance covered by the athlete i. e. 2πr

= 2 × 22/7 × 100
= 628.4 m
