Given: An athlete runs along a circular track of radius 7m. he takes 40 minutes to go once.

To find: We have to find the displacement and distance travelled by him after 20 minutes.

Solution:

The radius of the circular track is 7m.

The formula of perimeter of circle

 = 2\pi r

So, the perimeter of the circular track is

 = 2 \times \frac{22}{7} \times 7 \\ = 44

He takes 40 minutes to cover 44m.

Speed of him

 = \frac{44}{40} \\ = 1.1

So, the distance travelled by him after 20 minute is

 = 1.1 \times 20 \\ = 22

The displacement is 44m and distance travelled by him after 20 minute is 22m.
