An athlete runs around a circular track of radius 350m. If he runs for two and a half hours, find the distance and the displacement transverses by him?​

displacement occured in the motion = 700m

Explanation:

first for finding displacement, in 2.5 rounds the dsiplacement is the diameter of the circular path = 350m * 2 = 700m

now for finding the distsnce we need to find teh circumfrence of the circular path, for finding it we need the formula of circumfrence of a circle = 2\pi r

2\pi r \\2 * \frac{22}{7} * 350 \\2 * 22 * 50 \\2200

now we have the corcumfrence of the circular path, the athlete runs 2.5 rounds of the path so = 2200 * 2.5

                                    = 5500m

this is the required answer.
