circumference=2πr
so r=49
one round of the circle =to the circumference
so
2×22/7*4 9
= 2*22*7
=44* 7
=308
so no of rounds made
=3080/308
=10(ans)

The athlete takes 10 rounds to cover the distance.

  • The radius of the circular track is 49m.
  • Distance covered by the athlete on a circular track is 3080m.
  • Distance covered by the athlete in one round = Circumference of the circular ground.
  • Circumference of the ground = 2πr = 2×π×49 = 308 m.
  • Now the athlete covers a total distance of 3080 m.
  • We have to find the number of rounds that the athlete covers,

Number of rounds = \frac{Distance \ covered \ by \ the \ athlete}{Circumference \ of \ the \ circle}

  • Number of rounds = \frac{3080}{308} = 10
  • The athlete takes 10 rounds to cover the distance.
