An athlete started his race from rest and accelered straight track at a constant rate of per second square for 12 seconds. Calculate the distance covered by him

speed at starting point (u)= 0 ( bcoz athlete is in rest)

acceleration (a)= a m/s²

time(t)= 12 sec

distance (s)= ut+ 1/2(at²)

= 0×12+1/2(a×144)

=72 a
