we have to find the perimeter of the park

perimeter of the rectangular park =2×(l+b)

=2×(50+25)

=2×75

=150m²

distance covered by athlete in 10 rounds=150×10

=1500m²

hope it helps

Step-by-step explanation:

✧ Answer :

  • The total distance covered by the athelete is 1.5 km.

✧ Question :

  • An athlete takes 10 rounds of a rectangular park ,50 m long and 25 m wide. Find the total distance covered by him.

✧ To find :

  • The total distance covered by him.

✧ Solution :

  • Length of the park = 50 m
  • Breadth of the park = 25 m

Distance covered by the athelete in one round of the park

= Perimeter of the park

= 2(length + breadth)

= 2(50 + 25)

= 2 × 75

= 150 m.

Total distance covered by the athelete

= distance covered by him in 10 rounds

= (10 × 150) m

= 1500 m

= 1.5 km

Hence, the total distance covered by the athelete is 1.5 km.
