If it has 2 more electrons in calence shells so there are two possible ways 1. Either it can take atoms from other element to make a complete shell e.g if it has valence shell M so it can borrow atoms from other element to complete new shell . Or
2.it can donate those two electrons because if the shell of any atom is incomplete so it remains unstable .
Now,if it will donate two electrons so it will gorm Ionic Bond because it donated two electrons.
Hope you understood and got the answer

It will form a cation (+ve ion).
Explanation:
For attaining noble gas configuration, it will loose 2 electrons. Then, it will form a cation (positive ion) and its valency is 2.
