In the modern atomic theory its stated that an atom is divisible/no longer indivisible as an atom could be divided into protons electrons and neutrons

Earlier, Dalton believed atom to be the ultimate particle which can't be divided. But later, experiments of Thompson, Chadwick and Rutherford proved that atoms contain fundamental particles called proton, neutron, electron and other particles called meson, antineutrino etc
