Hey !!

Since The atom Has 2 electrons in its outermost shell

Electronic configuration= 2;8;2.
Atomic No=12.
valency = 2.

HOPE IT HELPS U.

rithvika1496: thank u
bhavi0906: electronic confriguation is 2,8,2
rithvika1496: protrons
rithvika1496: ????
bhavi0906: now it is correct
rithvika1496: ok

electronic configuration=2,8,2
atomic no. of element=12
no. of protons=no. of electrons=12
valency will be 2+ or 2 since the element will lose 2 electrons from its outer shell to become stable.It also becomes a metal.

hope this helps!!!

bhavi0906: correct
UdbhavGhosh: Please reply if it helps!
