Answer:

Autotrophy is an attribute found in plants but not in animals because

Plants prepare there own food by photosynthesis method but animals cant prepare there own food instead of that animals are depending directly or indirectly on plants hence

Autotrophy is the answer .

this above explination is simple its just for 2 marks , if they asked for 3 marks then refer the explanation part below

Explanation :

Autotrophic organisms synthesise their own food. Photoautotrophs are green plants which synthesise their own food using the energy of sunlight. Plant fix atmospheric carbon in presence of sunlight and convert them into glucose and energy in the form of ATP. While animals can not synthesise their food and depend on plants and other animals for their food i.e heterotrophs.

Autotrophic meaning is AUTO means self , TROPIC means level so by the meaning selftropic here in the world self preparing or producing is only by plants but this self preparing nature is absecene in animals

the above dark answer is not necessary to write for answer its just for your understanding
