an automobile moving along a straight track changes its velocity from 40m/s to 80m/s in a distance of 200m . What is the acceleration of the vehicle during this time

Initial velocity of vehicle (u) = 40 m/s
Final velocity of vehicle (v) = 80 m/s
Distance covered = 200 m

Change in velocity = distance/time
80 m/s - 40 m/s = 200 m / time
time = 200*40 = 8000 s
Therefore time (t) = 8000 s

Acceleration = change in velocity/time
                      = 80 m/s - 40 m/s / 8000 s
                      = 40/8000 m/s²
                      = 0.005 m/s²

The acceleration is 0.005 m/s².
