an automobile travelling at 60 km/hr on a highway stops over a distance of 20 m after brakes are

applied. traffic is moving on this highway at 72 km/hr. what is the minimum distance at which one driver

should follow the other, if a driver requires a minimum of 1s to decide and apply the brakes?​

The answer would be 20 m. If the distance is less than this, the driver would collide into another automobile because he applies brakes after 1 s. If this distance is maintained, collision will be avoided.
