Given :
1) Work done = 300 kJ
2) mass = 500 kg
To find :
i) Height of the mass lifted up by the crane
Solution :
We know that,
Work done, W = Force × Distance
where force = mass × accelaration due to gravity = m×g and distance = h
Work done, W = m×g×h
300 kJ = 500 kg × 10 × h
300×10^3 J = 500×10^3 × 10 × h
h = 300 / 5000
h = 3 / 50
h = 0.06 m
