An e.m.f. 250 microvolt is induced in a coil when current in it changes from 10 ampere to 6 ampere in 0.4 sec. What is the self- inductance of the coil ?

Given :

emf= 250 micro volt

1volt=10⁶micro volt

250 micro volt= 250/1000000=0.00025V

current changes= 10-6 =4A

time= 0.4s

Self Inductance=L= e / (di/dt)

= 0.00025/ (4) / 0.4

=0.00025x 0.4/4

=0.00025 H
