The crust of the earth is made up of many plates called the tectonic plates. These plates move very slowly and sometimes they brush against each other causing earthquake. The another reason is collision of tectonic plates which creates a mountain. Around 200 million years ago all the continents were joined together to each other but as the time went on they started splitting and now have large distance between them

The earth is made up of many plates
and earth's lethosphere broken into
major seven plates which is known
as tectonic plates.
All the modern world is devided into seven part because they are situated on seven different plates.
These plates form due to plate tactonic theory.which occur due to large force
acting on them in ancient time.
so it is said that modern world form due to splitting of tectonic plates.
