Given :- An educational institution organized a trip to visit ‘Book fair- Eastern India’ 450 students visited the same. Out of 450 students 2/5 of the total students bought books related to West Bengal and Ladakh based on famous tourist places, 2/3 of the remaining bought based on famous cuisines and the rest of the bought books based on culture and heritage.
Solution :-
→ Total students = 450
→ students who bought books related to West Bengal and Ladakh based on famous tourist places = (2/5) of the total .
so,
→ Number of students who bought based on Famous Tourist Places = (2/5) * 450 = 180 students.
now,
→ Number of students left = 450 - 180 = 270 students .
and,
→ Number of students who bought based on Famous cuisines = (2/3) of remaining = (2/3) * 270 = 180 students.
then,
→ Remaining students = 270 - 180 = 90 students.
therefore,
→ Number of students who bought based on culture and heritage = 90 students .
hence, students who bought based on Famous Tourist Places and Famous cuisines are same , while students who bought based on culture and heritage are half of them .
