Solution:

egg falls

=> initial velocity  u = 0

a = g = 10 m/s²

floor is 0.8 m from the table top

=> s = height = 10 m

Using formula

S = ut + (1/2)at²

=> 0.8 = 0 + (1/2)(10) t²

=> t² = 0.16

=> t = 0.4 sec

time taken to reach the ground is 0.4 secs

V = u + at

=> V = 0 + 10 * 0.4

=> V = 4 m/s

velocity of impact with the ground.​ is 4 m/s
