An egg sinks in fresh water but floats highly in salty water.Give Reasons.

An egg sinks in freshwater because the egg is more dense than the water it displaces. Adding salt to the water increases the density of the water. Add enough salt and the density of salty water exceeds the density of the egg,so it floats.
