Given :

⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • \sf Power = 2000 Watt = 2 Kilowatt
  •  \sf Time = 1.5 hrs
  •  \sf Rate\:  per \: unit = Rs. 5

⠀⠀⠀⠀

To find :

⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • \sf Total \: Cost = ??

⠀⠀⠀⠀

Solution :

⠀⠀⠀⠀

\bigstar\:{\underline{\sf We \:know \:that \::}}\\

⠀⠀⠀⠀

\star\;{\boxed{\sf{\pink{Work \: done = Power \times Time }}}}\\

⠀⠀⠀⠀

 :\implies\sf Work \: done = 2Kw \times 1.5 hrs \\

⠀⠀⠀⠀

 :\implies\sf Work \: done = 3kwh \\

⠀⠀⠀⠀

 :\implies{\underline{\boxed{\frak{\purple{Work\: done = 3kwh }}}}}\;\bigstar\\

⠀⠀⠀⠀

 \sf Cost\: of \: 1 \: kwh \:  = \:Rs.  5

⠀⠀

 \sf Cost\: of \: 3 \: kwh \:  = \:Rs.  5 \times 3

⠀⠀⠀⠀

 \sf Cost\: of \: 3 \: kwh \:  = \:Rs.  15

⠀⠀⠀⠀

:\implies{\underline{\boxed{\frak{\purple { Total \: cost \: = Rs.  15}}}}}\;\bigstar\\

⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀

\therefore\:{\underline{\sf{Cost\;of\; using \;the \:appliance\; for \; 1.5 hrs \; is \bf{Rs.\:15}.}}}

Answer:

Given that :-

Power = 2000 watt

Time = 1.5 hours

Cost of 1 unit = ₹5

To Find :-

Total cost

Solution :-

We know that

1 kW = 1000 w

2000 w = 2kW

Work done = Power × Time

=> Work done = 2 × 1.5

=> Work done = 3 kWh

Now,

Total cost = Work done × Cost of 1 unit

=> Total cost = 3 × 5

=> Total cost = ₹15
