Given :

▪ Resistance of electric bell = 6Ω

▪ Current passing through bell = 2A

To Find :

▪ Applied potential difference across it.

Concept :

➡ This question is completely based on the concept of ohm's law.

➡ As per ohm's law, current passing through a conductor is directly proportional to the applied potential difference. (at constant temperature)

Mathematically,

\bigstar\:\bf{\red{V\varpropto I}}\\ \\ \bigstar\:\bf{\blue{V=IR}}

  • V denotes pd
  • I denotes current
  • R denotes resistance

Calculation :

\dashrightarrow\sf\:V=IR\\ \\ \dashrightarrow\sf\:V=2\times 6\\ \\ \dashrightarrow\underline{\boxed{\bf{\orange{V=12V}}}}\:\gray{\bigstar}

Option- B

GIVEN that:

  • Resistance is 6 ohm

  • Current passing through it is 2A.

To Find:

  • Voltage

Formula Used:

  • V = IR

Solution:

Let the voltage be V.

So, Using the above formula, we have

V = 6*2

V = 12 V

So, voltage is 12 V.

So, option B is correct.

Hope this helps
