it is because the electric bulb is made up of a filament which has a very high melting point as it is made up of tungsten metal and that tungsten metal become very hot when heat is passed through it so it would take a long time to cool and so and electric bulb is hot to touch after it has been on for some time

Answer:

hope this is helpful

Explanation:

It is because of the heating effect of electric currents

electrical energy is converted into heat energy and light energy its called as heating effect of electric current. that is why an electric bulb gets heated when it is switched on for some time.
