Answer:

We need to find the charges flowing

so,

according to the formula

V=W/Q

we have

W= 30

V = 12

therefore Q = W/V

i.e. Q = 30/12

Therefore Q = 5/2

hence

the answer is 5/2

The maximum current that can pass through the bulb is 2.5 A.

Given: An electric bulb has a rating of 30 W, 12 V.

To Find: The maximum current can pass through the bulb

Solution:

  • The relation between the power and voltage of an electrical instrument can be represented by the formula,

                P = V x I                                                                    ....(1)

Where P = Power, V = Voltage, I = Current.

Coming to the numerical, we are given,

The power taken by the bulb (P) = 30 W

The voltage required (V) = 12 V

So, putting respective values in (1), we get

                 P = V x I

           ⇒  30  =  12 x I

           ⇒   I  =  30 / 12

           ⇒   I  = 2.5 A

Hence, the maximum current that can pass through the bulb is 2.5 A.
