Given:-

  • Potential difference ,V = 220v

  • Current ,I = 0.8 A

To Find:-

  • Power ,P

Solution:-

As we know that Power is defined as the rate of consumption of energy at per unit time .

• P = VI

Substitute the value we get

→ P = 220 × 0.8

→ P = 176 W

Therefore , the power of bulb is 176 Watt.

Additional Information!!

Potential Difference: The potential difference between two point in an electric circuit carrying some current as the work done to move a unit charge from one point to the other.

Potential difference = Work done /Charge.

V = W/Q

here

V is the potential difference

W is the work done

Q is the charge

✧ SI unit of electric potential energy is volt (V).

✧ 1 volt : The potential difference between two points in a current carrying conductor when one joule of work is done to move a charge of one coulomb from one point to other.

1 Volt = 1Joule/1Coulomb
