Given - P = 40W
            V = 220V
             I = 6A

To find - Number of bulbs can be connected in parallel with each other across two wires of 220 V line.

Formulas used - V = IR
                           R = V2/P

Solution -  R = V2 / P
                     = (220)2/ 40        { given V = 220V }
                    = 48400 / 40
                   =  1210 ohm.

Now, we know V = IReq
Req = V/I
      = 220 / 6
      = 36.66.. ohm

Let us take there are x number of bulb in parallel

1 / 37 = x / 1210
x = 1210 / 36.66..
     =  33.006

x = 33 ( round up)

Therefore, 33 bulbs can be connected in parallel with each other across two wires of 220V
