An electric bulb is rated as 100 W, 200 V. If the bulb is connected across a 100 V supply, then the current drawn by the bulb at this voltage is (Assume no change in resistance)

Therefore, if the power is 100 W and the supply voltage is 200 V, then the  

current is I=  I P  =  100W/200V  =1/2A.

Hence, the amount of current the bulb will draw is 1/2 amperes.
