An electric bulb is rated as 60 W, 240 V. Calculate its resistance. If the voltage drops
to 192 V. calculate the power consumed and the current drawn by the bulb.(Assume that
the resistance of the bulb remains unchanged)
(ii) If 6.25 * 1018 electrons flow through a given cross section in unit time, find the
current.
(iii)Two wires of same material and length have resistances 5 12 and 10 12 respectively.
Find the ratio of radii of the two wires.

Answer:

Explanation:

since P = VI = I^2R

I = P/V

 = 60/240

0.25A ans.

now P = I^2R

R = P/I^2

= 60/0.0625

= 960 ohms

Use I = Q x n = c/t *n to find electrons
