Answer:

The resistance will increase due to the heat of the filament. So lets do some maths, 100÷220=0.4545 amps now to find the resistance using ohms law 220÷0.4545=484 ohms. This is when lamp is drawing current. An electric bulb is rated as 220V 100W.

Answer:

Resistance = 484 ohm

Explanation:

power   =  \frac{v^{2} }{r}  \\ 100 =   \frac{ {(220)}^{2} }{r } \\ 100r =  {(220)}^{2}   \\ 100r = 220 \times 220 \\ r =  \frac{220 \times 220}{100}  \\ r \:  = 484 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:

here,

  • r = resistance
  • v = potential difference
