an electric bulb of 100w works for 4hours a day. calculate the units of energy consumed

we know,
power=work done /time
also,
power = energy consumed /time
therefore , in one day ,energy consumed =power *time
=100*4*60 [since time is in hrs we will convert to seconds]
= 24000 J
therefore energy consumed in 15 days =24000*15 J
= 360000 J

Power=100W
First,we convert power into kilowatt.so we divide it by 1000
P=100/1000 =0.1kw
Time=4 hrs
Using relation,Energy(E) = Power(P) × Time(T)
= 0.1×4
Energy(E)=0.4Kilowatt hour
