Energy consumption=(power of bulb+power of heater)time×one day

=1000w×6hr×1

=6kWh

cost of energy consumption=6×3

= 18RS

Given :

An electric bulb of 60 W and a heater of 940 W is used for 6 hour per day.

Cost of electricity is 3 rupees per day unit .

To Find :

The electricity bill of one day .

Solution :

We know , energy is given by :

E = P.t

So , energy consumed by bulb is :

E_b=60\times 6=360\ W.h=0.36\ kWh

Also ,  energy consumed by heater is :

E_h=940\times 6 =5640\ Wh=5.64\ kWh

Therefore , total energy consumed is :

E_T=E_1+E_2\\\\E_T=0.36+5.64=6\ kWh

So ,number of units are 6 .

Now , electricity bill of one day is , 6\times 3=18

Therefore , the electricity bill of one day is Rs 18 .
