power in kilo watt =60/1000
=0.06kilo watt
time = 6 h
energy consumed by the bulb per day = p×t
=0.06×6
=0.36 units

Bulb consumes energy of 0.36 kW h in one day

Solution:

The power of the bulb is given which is used for a given period of time, so the unit consumed by it on a daily basis be calculated as follows,

Power consumed by electric bulb = 60 W

Time = 6 hrs

Energy consumed is calculated by the formula, Energy=Power× time

Power = 60 W = 60 \times 10^{-3} k W

Power = 0.06 kW

Energy = 0.06 \times 6

Energy=0.36 kW h
