A 50 w, 100 v lamp is to be connected to an AC main of 50 hz, what should the essential capacitance of the capacitor to be put in series with the lamp be?
A 50W lamp would have a resistance , while operating of X.
We know the voltage to be applied , is 100V.
From this we can calulate the current from
P = E * I ,and solving for I we get a 2 Ampere current.
R, the esistance of the wire in the bulb will be 50 ohms,
Ohms law says R = V / I , so that is what gives the value of 50.
Hope this helps you ☺️☺️⭐✨✨⭐✌️✌️

but it's given 50v not 200v
