Given :-

  • Power , P = 100W

  • Time used in per day = 1 hour

  • Total no.of days used = 30 days

  • Cost of 1 unit = Rs 5

To Find:-

  • Total cost

Solution:-

According to the Question

No. of hours appliances used in 30 days = 30/1 = 30 hours.

Now we know that ,

Energy Consumed = Power×time

E = Pt

Substitute the value we get

→ E = 100×30

→ E = 3000 J.

Energy Consumed by the appliance is 3000 J.

Now ,

1 unit = 3.6×10⁶ J

∴ 3000/3.6×10⁶ = 0.00083 Unit

Cost of 1 unit = Rs 5

∴ Cost of 0.00083 Unit = 0.00083×5 = Rs0.00415
