Explanation:

Given,

DC current, I  DC  =8A  ....(i)

AC current, I  AC  =6sinωt            ....(ii)

Total current, I=I  DC ​ +I  AC

I=8+6sinωt

Squaring on both sides,

​I  2  =(8+6sinωt)^  2

I  2  =64+36sin^ 2 ωt+96sinωt

I  2  =64+36×  1/2+96×0

I  2 =64+18=82

I  rms  = root 82 =9.05A

Therefore answer is 9.05 A
