When a plasmolysed cell is placed in a hypotonic solution, (i.e., the solution having solute concentration lower than the cell sap), the water moves into the cell because of the higher concentration of water outside the cell than in the cell. The cell then swells to become turgid.

Given,

Current (I) = 10A

Time (t) = 30 s

Charge (q) = ?

As we know,

Current = Charge/time                    (Since, current is the rate of flow of charges in a              

                                                         conductor of given cross sectional area)

I = q/t

q = I X t

q = 10 X 30

q = 300 Coulomb
