If an electric dipole of dipole moment 5×10^-6 is placed in a square of side 2 cm then the total electric flux coming out of the surface will be zero.

1)It is very important to understand this point According to Gauss law for electricity the net electric flux coming out of a closed gaussian surface it always equal to the amount of charge within than surface.

2)If you keep an electric dipole in a closed gaussian surface which is a square in this example the electric flux due to this dipole will be zero because the electric fields line will come out of the positive charge and enter the negative charge and therefore no flux leaves out of the surface.
