An electric fan rated 50 watt operates 20hrs a day . What is the cost energy for 30 days at Rs 2 per Kwh?

Energy consumed per day = (20×50)

= 1000 watt hour

Convert watt hour into kilowatt hour by dividing 1000 watt by 1000.

∴ 1000 watt = 1 kWh

Energy consumed by electric heater in 30 days = (1×30)

⇒ 30 kWh

cost of electricity = Rs 2 / kWh

Cost of electricity consumed by a electric heater in 30 days at the rate of 2 rupees per kWh.

= Rs ( 2×30 )

= Rs 60

Hence, the cost of electricity is Rs 60.
