Given :

➾ Current flow = 200 mA

➾ Voltage of battery = 12V

To Find :

➨ Resistance of the gadget.

Concept :

➠ This question is completely based on the concept of ohm's law.

➠ As per this law, Current flow in conductor is directly proportional to the applied voltage.

(At constant temperature)

➠ Resistance of conductor depends on the dimensions of conductor like length and area of cross-section.

Mathematically,

V = I × R

where,

◕ V denotes applied voltage

◕ I denotes current

◕ R denotes resistance

Calculation :

⇒ V = I × R

⇒ R = V/I

⇒ R = 12×1000/200

⇒ R = 12 × 5

R = 60Ω

Given ,

Current (I) = 200 mA or 0.2 amp

Potential difference (v) = 12 v

We know that ,

 \large \sf \fbox{V = IR}

Thus ,

12 = 0.2 × R

R = 60 ohm

 \therefore \sf \underline{The \:  resistance \:  is  \: 60  \: ohm}
