Given:
Power=2000w
Voltage=220 v
I=?
P= v*I
I=P/v
=2000/220
=9.09 amp
Fuse rating should be greater than flowing current .
Hence select a fuse of 10 amp

Answer:

The minimum current rating for fuse is 10 A.

Explanation:

The energy used is the amount of charge q moved through voltage V in a time interval t.

P = VI

Hence, I = P / V = 2000 / 220 = 9. 09 Amp

Moreover Fuse should always have it’s rating higher than the flowing current so that it can melt and open the circuit in case of excessive current.

So minimum current rating for fuse should be 10 Amp.
