Given, the diameter of cylindrical geyser (d) = 35cm

Now, radius of cylindrical geyser = r = d/2 = 35/2 cm = 17.5 cm

Also, height = h = 1.2 m = 120 cm

i)
curved or lateral surface area of cylinder = 2*pi*r*h

= 2*22/7*17.5*120
=13200 cm^2

ii)
capacity or volume of the cylinder= pi*r^2*h

= 22/7*(17.5)^2*120
=115500 cm^3

Now, we know that 1 cm3 = 0.001 liters

⇒ 115500 cm3 = 115500 × 0.001 liters = 115.5 liters

Hence, capacity of the cylinder is 115.5 liters.

Step-by-step explanation:

For ii, take height - 1.2m and convert the radius from 17.5 CM to M (0.175m)

and then calculate the volume by the formula πr²h

Hope it helped ya :)
