Given:

An electric grinder of 120 W is used to grind grains for 1.5 minutes.

To find:

Energy supplied by grinder?

Calculation:

Power is often defined as the instantaneous rate of work done. In other words , power can be calculated from the ratio of Work and time.

So, work is also represented by the energy expended by an operator to perform a function.

 \sf{ \therefore \: power =  \dfrac{work}{time} }

 \sf{  =  > \:work = power \times time }

 \sf{  =  > \:work = 120\times (1.5 \times 60) }

 \sf{  =  > \:work = 120\times 8}

 \sf{  =  > \:work =960 \: joule}

So, work done by the electric grinder is 960 Joule.
